Solar Aligner collects no personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
If you tap "Use My Location", the app asks iOS for your position once and uses it on your device to calculate panel orientation and sun times. Your location is never stored by us and never leaves your phone.
The app also uses your device's compass heading and motion sensors during live alignment. These readings are processed entirely on-device.
If you type a postcode instead, the app sends that postcode — and nothing else — to the free public service postcodes.io to convert it to coordinates. This is the app's only network request. See postcodes.io for that service's own terms. The last postcode you searched is remembered on your device only, as a convenience.
No third-party SDKs, analytics tools, crash reporters or advertising networks are included in the app.
