Birthday Keeper collects no personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, no server, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The app makes no network requests at all. Everything you see in it lives on your device.
When you choose "Import from Contacts", the app asks iOS for permission and then reads only the names, birthdays and thumbnail photos of the contacts you share with it. That is used to build your birthday list on your device. The app never writes to your contacts, never uploads them and never sends them anywhere. You can share all your contacts or only some, and you can add people by hand without granting access at all.
When you tap Call, Message, FaceTime or Email for someone who came from Contacts, the app reads that contact's phone numbers or email addresses at that moment to open the Phone, Messages, FaceTime or Mail app. They are not stored.
The list of people, their birthdays, any notes, phone numbers or email addresses you type in, and photos you choose for people you add by hand are stored on your device only, protected by iOS file encryption. A copy is kept in the app's private shared container so its widgets can show the next birthdays. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
If you export a backup, it is a plain file that you keep and control. The app does not send it anywhere.
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No notification service or server is involved.
No third-party SDKs, analytics tools, crash reporters or advertising networks are included in the app.
The app is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone.
